Gentlemen,
Your comments about ferrite toroids applicable to the HF bands from
roughly 1 to 30 MHz are interesting, especially since a plethora
of contributors to Balun discussions have recently focused on
49:1 and 9:1 balun construction for Low Band, High Band, End-Fed
Half-Wave and End-Fed Random Wire transformers and antennae.
What is slightly confusing to me is to read about the popularity
of Mix 43 toroids in circumstances where Mix 61 is touted as well.
If Mix 61 is as good a performer in transformer duty as described,
what then are applications where Mix 43 is a viable competitor, please?
